well...we've shown we can:
  • come from behind, not panic and win
  • take a lead and keep it to win
  • not make a single 3 pt shot and win
  • get in foul trouble or play with a key player out and win
  • go to a hostile environment and win
  • close out games in the final seconds and win
We're gonna need everyone of these lessons and more to pull a 'W' out of our trip to St Louie.

I'm betting on black & gold.
I'll take anything on a bet over -3 STL.

We're driving in from Dayton. We could maybe leave early enough for a gathering. I don't know the area at all. Would love to see some VCU folks pregame.
I'm am officially off Friday, so we can leave whenever. I usually get up at 4:00am. This is also my first trip to St Louis other than driving through on my way elsewhere.

Pregame sounds good.

Just sos you know,
An amazing bird is the pelican
His bill can hold more than his Billiken
He can hold in his beak
Enough food for a week
But I don’t see how the he!! he can

I‘d like to thank Ogden for that definition

Pappy's is DEFINITELY the best StL BBQ.

If you are staying downtown, I'm also partial to Sugarfire

I don't know of pregame places around Chaifetz. Historically it's not been the best neighborhood.
BUT... Paddy O's is THE place for pregame before StL Cardinals games. With no baseball, it's likely easier to get in on a Friday night and has a great vibe.

Additionally....

Love it or hate it, StL-style thin crust with provel cheese. Get it with bacon. And get the "toasted ravioli" on the side.

And don't look at the calorie count, but trust me and get a gooey butter cake. Schnuck's is the local grocery store chain, but if you are near a Dieberg's, they're good too. You're welcome! :D

Thanks, this is cool. I love going somewhere and getting something I probably can't get anywhere else.

Last and I promise I'm done...

There is a MetroLink light rail system. If the weather is good and you're in town for the weekend, it'll get you to the riverfront (Laclede's Landing), Chafeitz Arena (Grand), or Forest Park (Forest Park-DeBaliviere). Forest Park = free art museum, art hill, science museum, zoo, etc. Probably more fun in the summertime than in February, but...

Tell me about the Provel cheese. Never heard of it before. Obviously not from St. Louis. Related to Provolone? I'd be okay with provolone.
