This feels SO true....I've occasionally joked around with bball buddies who support various P6 teams, and when it comes around to the A10 I just say "Basically VCU is everyone's' Super Bowl".....honestly, I feel like a jerk and a half when I say it, but that doesn't mean it isn't also true

I love that game so much. I got angry at the officiating and yelled “This officiating is as bad as UVA football!!!” The UVA fans around me suddenly turned abruptly and my VCU friends were like oh s***t we’re gonna die. Then the UVA fans were like Nah man UVA football is muuuuch worse.


The whole upper level lost its crap on the 3 pointer. No one thought that was going in.

I wouldn't say hammering slu.... line only moved half a point and usually the public takes the favorite. 78% of the tickets are on slu but I don't know where the money is.

St. Louis University officials are probing workload and mental health concerns inside the university’s pep band after its director quit last month in frustration.
Former pep band director Austin Turner, who served in the role for eight years, notified band members of his resignation last week. In the email, he alleged that the university had heaped extra work on the band but wouldn’t address the added stress on members.
“I have expressed concerns time and time again, but the burdens placed on the Band this fall were unacceptable,” Turner wrote.

I believe it is a mischievous , impish type of character. A Lucky Charms kinda guy. I'm still scratching my head as to why UR came up with a spider mascot. Not much thought went into that selection, apparently.

If you read up on both nicknames you will see they both came about due to real people. A coach was said to resemble the Billiken doll and a pitcher for UR was said to throw like a spider or something like that.
