Obviously he's not as good a PG as Baldwin at this point in his career, otherwise he would be the starting PG. The point is Baldwin wasn't being replaced by a walk-on or some low talent guard. And the fact that we haven't recruited another point guard shows me that MR was comfortable with Nunn in that role when Ace needs a blow or is hurt. So he must have PG skills that MR felt he could rely on. Otherwise, you're saying MR put this roster together with only one viable PG option?
I think it's definitely a weakness. No doubt. On the other hand, I don't know too many guys who are on or at least near Ace's level who would want to com in and sit behind him for two years. Guys might be willing to go to a top tier P5 and sit and wait for their turn. Not so much at our level.

I had to look it up - this appears to be why the T was accessed.

What Does Tapping the Head Mean in Basketball?

Tapping one’s own head in basketball is different from patting someone. The former is a type of celebration or taunt. It means that someone just got dunked on.

While patting someone’s head is to show appreciation and sportsmanship.
Rule 10-5. It is an obvious foul. That doesn't mean it is always called or that I would have called it or that it should be a foul. But it is absolutely a foul in the rule book, and losing your dam mind like Stackhouse did because a ref called a foul that actually is a foul is just bizarre. And fans saying it was "soft" or was the reason Vandy lost have to reconcile their view with, you know, the actual rule.

Citing the rulebook? What are you, some kind of lawyer?

In the VCU-ODU glory days, I feel like it would take me 24-48hrs to fully recover from being in a "fighting mood".
I felt like when I left The Stu, The Ted, or The RC, I would be wayyyy too amped up after a basketball game.

With that said, has anyone else been a little jacked up today?
Due to my regular nervous energy, I average 2-3 laps around my work building per day to get away from the computer screen. I think I'm at 6 and it's not even 3pm.

How big's your building? I usually go for a walk at lunch and average about three miles. Today feels like a four miler, easy.

It's not the first time this has happened. Turn your Black & Gold clocks to Jan. 5, 2011 ... Drexel at VCU .... in closing minutes of a tense CAA struggle, Dragons' coach Bruiser Flint jumps up in rage over a no-call on a missed Drexel shot that resulted in defensive VCU rebound ... He gets T No. 1; then T no. 2. then he is thrown out. Just like with Stackhouse, he had to be physically restrained. VCU uses the added free throws to prevail 52-48.

Joey had a GREAT kickout to Rozzell for a big 3 late in that game.

Actually that's pretty much been our pattern. JRod backed up Maynor for two years. Theus backed up JRod for two years. JeQuan backed up Weber for two years.

I would love to some how reconcile how many people who thought the head patting tech was legit thought the Watkins high five to the other team tech was bogus?

I know exactly what it means and again, I've never seen a player get a T for doing it until last night.

Those refs were SEC refs. Stackhouse will pay for his antics once SEC play begins and he faces those refs again. Not a smart move on his part when they were "his" refs.
Maybe. I've never been an official so I'm not sure if they hold "grudges" per se. Gotta have thick skin to be an official at any level and any sport.
