Vandy's invasion offers a real treat for VCU fans. Very few "big-name schools from power conferences" have come to The Stu over some 21 years. Texas, Oklahoma, LSU and 'Bama did because they were contractually obligated. Virginia did twice because Bennett liked Shaka. Georgia Tech came for unknown reasons, as did Texas A&M way back. Mississippi? It's not too often you get a Southeastern Conference school to play on "your court." Landing the Commodores ranks with Mr. Ed's better scheduling negotiations. Would like to see more of it.

We also beat Colorado at home maybe the first year the Stu opened. Of course the opener vs Louisville was just incredible. Denny Crum was beside himself. Crazy atmosphere!!! I think GT was a H&H As was Colorado. The tex A&M game was triple OT. Something like 107-104. One of the craziest games I have ever seen !!!

Ed McLaughlin doesn't do the scheduling. Jimmy Martelli does. Please give credit where credit is due. FYI - Both Memphis and Temple are scheduled to visit the Stu next year. Lots of history and success there with both programs. Both are nice scheduling "gets" by Martelli. And Penn State should have played here recently.

I have a weird feeling about this game. Like, although they played Memphis better than us, I think we end up beating them by 10.
Vandy was at home for that game, right? I don't think we beat Memphis in Richmond without Ace, but I bet we play better than we did there.

I'm cool with a win by 1 but I like your feeling better. Maybe Jayden uses the second half of last game as a springboard.

Yeah. The projections are close. Torvik shows 65-63 VCU with a 60% chance and Haslametrics is 69-67 VCU.
I'm guessing they didn't watch Saturdays game ? Heeeey ohhhhhh..... 😗 Just couldn't resist.
UR, W&M and JMU
Well of those (3) 1 is among the best public colleges in the nation... and they don't field powerhouse athletics often.

How many remember the Commodore 64?

That was my first computer at age 13. I loved that thing. Maybe why the girls didn't pay attention to me.

Sure they do! Tennis. Swimming. Squash. Occasionally baseball. And of course now basketball. ; )
