I have no intel whatsoever on this. They keep things quiet in regards to injuries. I know that Ace tweeted that he wanted to continue to play with the fractured wrist. Ace is like that because he is a competitor. Maybe he will be back on Saturday against Temple? After Temple VCU basically plays cupcakes so maybe hold Ace out until a game or two before conference play? Not sure what they will choose to do but we need a healthy Ace for A10 play.

All Baldwin probably needs is an Ace Bandage for added support ...

I'm guessing they didn't watch Saturdays game ? Heeeey ohhhhhh..... 😗 Just couldn't resist.

Well of those (3) 1 is among the best public colleges in the nation... and they don't field powerhouse athletics often.

No one should ever, ever, use "higher academic standards" as an excuse for failure unless they have the proof ... by that I mean standardized test scores for the athletes involved, not for general student body. If the numbers were on the table, I would guess that the Vandy and UT test scores would be nearly identical among the eight players with most minutes. Vandy may have a brighter third string.

JMU ? Seriously ? UVA sure, but JMU ? My neice went there, its not exactly Harvard.

I am NOT saying that any of them are worthy of using academics as a reason for their inadequacies. I am simply stating what a number of their fans have said over the years as far as their inability to compete while we were in the CAA (JMU, Billy-Bob and Mary-Sue) and the CAA and A10 (fUR).
I certainly don't agree with their assessment. Their suckage in athletics (talking about basketball) is wholly independent of their "academic standards".

It kills me that anyone would associate JMU with academic excellence in any context. Its a wannabe party school in a smelly town.
That said, they do/did have a pretty good dance dept which is why neice went there.

Same reason all 3 of my granddaughters went there. Thank god they got really good minors in things that will actually help them earn some money😄.

Maybe we could do a little more to help out tomorrow. Here is a quote from Zeb. It was put in a way that I had not really considered before.

"I have never experienced anything like what the fans brought tonight. When I was at Michigan, because the fans weren't all the way back because of the COVID years, I never felt that. The fans gave me a whole bunch of energy that I did not even know that I had. They definitely helped us pour out the effort at the end of the game, and I think it affected Kennesaw State as well. I felt great listening the fans." – Zeb Jackson

Yeah, the Kennesaw game was not great by any stretch.
We could pick up our effort. I know not every game can't be like we're playing ur, but let's give Vandy heck.

Key matchup to watch:

Brandon John's vs Liam Robbins.

Liam is 7' Big 5th yr 10 transfer from Minnesota who started the season splitting time with Vanderbilt's other big, Quentin Milora-Brown.

Robbins has been playing progressively better tha Brown taking away his PT. This is no surprise he was an All Big 10 selection once.

Over the last 4 games Robbins has gone 26-36 (72.2%) from the field, 15.5 ppg. 5.8 rpg, 3.5 bpg. In his first last game vs Fresno state, he had 20 pts, 7 rebounds and 8 blocks in 33 minutes.
