I also have little idea why MLB has any pull over some bottom of the barrel baseball.
The Commissioner of Baseball is in charge of both MLB and MiLB, so MLB more or less has sway over which minor league teams it supports, and the MiLB teams affiliated with MLB teams are partially controlled (and sometimes owned) by the MLB teams.

Yes and at one time the MLB wanted to place the Nationals AAA team in RVA but the Diamond “situation” kept that from happening.

Totally offtopic but a big f-in deal here in Rva... our friend who's a RACC officer is even on watch (they all are).
This year, a large amount of eggs actually hatched (as at least one egg usually does not hatch, I think 4 is a record here, but not sure)

NC State baseball had a bunch of players test positive for COVID and they are still playing. I guess they are lucky they did not have the Indianapolis Health Dept. overstep the NCAA COVID rules.

Because they’re a P5 and we’re not.

The NCAA said the decision to rule NC State out was based on the recommendation of the championship medical team and the Douglas County (Nebraska) Health Department.

To clarify, this was to be the elimination game forced by NC State losing yesterday, correct?
