He did say that and I think Ed Nixon also touted Lawal's skills. He could end up being a huge pick up especially if he leads to VCU can sign some other international players. I read that VCU is in on another player from that area. It is always nice when a player is successful when lots of people slept on them.

My dog's name is Tobi. I can speak Japanese. I named him Tobi because he would jump high AF when he got excited. Tobi means "to jump" in Japanese. I'm excited to see this kid play.

FYI, Rams Rewind this week will be publishing another episode in its Newcomers Roundup, with this one featuring an interview with Lawal's coach at Lee Academy, Daniel Haynes. That will probably come out tomorrow, unless I get tied up with my paying jobs.

Take the time to listen to the interview with Toibu's high school coach, it will definitely raise your energy level and excitement for the future. It sounds as if he is pushing 6'9" with an athleticism rarely seen. Even more exciting was hearing his progression and work eithic. Let's allow this one some time to keep growing into what he could be by being patient, but I guarantee from what we are hearing out of The BDC that Lawal will see minutes. Is Toibu the next Len Bias, not likely and the same could be said for most any other player, but Toibu could be a blend of Phil Stinnie and Deri' Jenkins and that would be special !!!
