I guess a novel virus that we have no built in immunity to and no vaccines for is just the same as a virus where we have centuries of communal immunity and vaccines. Are you a virologist or an epidemiologist or are you just a message board poster that’s talking out of his ass and gambling that he’s correct?

BTW, health care is a fundamental right. Not respectfully written ass hole.
LOL Well I see that you are back at it. Alienating the masses. That's just great. Disgusting post, by the way.

Yes, health care being a fundamental right is awful.

Ouch!
Dr. Abdu Shawkaway has worked in inner city hospitals and in the poorest slums of Africa. He has worked with HIV-AIDS, hepatitis, TB, SARS, measles, shingles, whooping cough and diphtheria. He is an infectious disease specialist. You should read his recent article on the coraflu. It might help you with your fear. Dr. Sharkaway works for the University Health Network, which is affiliated with the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. It is the largest health research organization in North America. I suspect he has a better knowledge about coronavirus than most. Dr. Shawkaway's states in the article "I'm scared the most about what message we are telling our kids when faced with a threat. Instead of reason, rationality, open mindedness and altruism, we are telling them to panic, be fearful, suspicious, reactionary and self-interested."
His advice is to "temper fear with reason, panic with patience and uncertainty with education. We have an opportunity to learn a great deal about health hygiene and limiting the spread of innumerable transmissible diseases in our society. Let's meet this challenge together in the best spirit of compassion for others, patience, and above all, an unfailing effort to seek truth, facts and knowledge as opposed to conjecture, speculation and catastrophizing."
I'm not a virologist. I just read a couple of hours a day on a variety of topics I want to learn more about. Finally I said Italy believes health is a fundamental right not health care. All I did was point out that your initial post was not accurate by attributing the chart to the AHA. That's no reason to insult me with profanities although I find it both amusing and pathetic.

Thanks for letting us know what one Canadian doctor with 224 twitter followers and a quote in dailtykos said without even spelling his name correctly. It’s Abdu Sharkawy.

I have never read the Daily Kos but will take a look at it. I meant for Dr. Sharkawy's comments to be your starting point for further reading to bring you off the ledge...not the stopping point. Today it was reported that worldwide, there have been about 3,400 coraflu deaths, out of about 100,000 identified cases. Flu reaps about 291,000 to 646,000 annually. Fewer than 200 new coraflu cases are now reported daily, down from a peak of 4,000. The flu virus dies in warm weather which is why it has seasons. This is all good and positive news.
Thanks for pointing out the typo. You've added greatly to this coraflu conversation. It is astounding that an individual who posts a hysterical chart and erroneously attributes it to the American Hospital Association declares the person who points out the misleading post as "talking out of his a^^" and then proceeds to call him profane names. Fortunately I'm not responsible for your upbringing. Going through life thin skinned and ignorant is going to be rough for you. Hopefully you will have a large number of twitter followers which seems to be more important to you than knowledge. I will bow out of this thread. I feel like I am playing chess with my 3 year old grandson. Good luck.
