At the end of the day, it’s all about player development/results. We’re only going as far as our frosh/sophs take us. The upperclassmen are supplemental (role players) at this point. The hope is that, eventually, some of those nine underclassmen (including BMB) become:

Tre Clark = Briante Weber-ish
Jarren McAllister = Jesse Pellot Rosa
Bones Hyland = Melvin Johnson/Eric Maynor-ish
Hason Ward = Larry Sanders-ish
BMB = DJ Haley
Mikael Brown-Jones = Juvonte Reddic
Jamir Watkins = Treveon Graham-ish
Joshua Banks = Jamal Shuler
Ace Baldwin = Jequan Lewis

If some of the above come to fruition, we’ll get back on track. The near future of VCU Basketball ultimately rests with the development/ascent of these 9 kids.

These 9 guys individually have really different games vs. their aforementioned past counterparts.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, I don't agree with most and I don't think we've seen enough just yet but....I can totally see the Mcallister = Jesse thing. How bad-a$$ would it be to for Tre to evolve into Weber-ish, Banks like a Shuuuu...Anyway, fun post.

Yes, they really do.
Lets not hamstring them into being a reflection of something. Let them be the players they were born to be and hope Rhoades allows and encourages it.
Let's hope they weren't all born to be point guards

And thanks for another in a long list of dumbass posts

looks like somebody has been doing work this offseason

Really excited about Tre this year. The guy made plays last year as a freshman and seems like he is working hard to get better. Would not be surprised if he started as a second point guard which would take the pressure off of bones. Tre could take Evan's role as the full court on ball defender allowing Bones to save his energy for scoring points.
