@HoustonRockets: Rockets GM @dmorey announced that the team has signed rookie free agent guard Troy Daniels (6-4, 200, VCU). Follow him: @MrSuPeRsTar_30
With the addition of Daniels, the Rockets’ roster count is back up to 18, including 13 players on fully guaranteed deals. Daniels is unlikely to make the team’s regular-season roster, so perhaps he’ll end up with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Houston’s D-League affiliate.
This should give him a good shot to make the D-League
He definitely has a skill that very few others truly possess, he is a deadeye from well beyond NBA range and a volume shooter at that. When you make 120+ at a 40% clip you get noticed. He'll make the D-league. What might happen is that they give him a partially guarenteed contract and assign him to the D-League. If that happens its not a bad deal as he'll get at least 6 figures and be on call should they need a shooter.
Man that Jumper must be getting better. When a player gets to tryouts in camps in the same year it means he has done something right. Remember we've got some good ones who never even got an invite to camp.
Seems like an easy guy to root for. I like his mentality. He would be a great running mate with Lin. Let Lin create shots with driving ability, and this guy seems very capable of knocking them down. Off the ball movement and catch-and-shoot look good also. RGV system is top notch.

If he can develop his defensive side, he'll be a rotation player down the line. If he can develop his ball handling side & defensive side, it keeps going up.
Could amount to a 3 & D player. He's got 1 side down.
