The closest it comes to talking about any facility is a mention of "Championship level competion Facilities".

The new ball park seemed like a good use of time and money to me, as an overall improvement to the city.
I already to go Flying

Squirrels and VCU Baseball games so I’m sure I’m more pro ball park than a lot of people.

Hot dogs are great at sporting events, but we could upgrade our food offerings.

Is this stuff new? Kind of things that should be standard operating procedure. Sure am glad they figured it out.

Wow, I just realized that I'm becoming both @Ramdog and @vcu70 at the same time. Is this normal as you get aged? Got a golf cart to sell me 70?
Yes it is new without details. It is a grand plan. The other plan just ended and it began in 2013. They raised money and completed the BDC among other things in the other plan. I have friends that have joined in on some of the ideas and they sponsor athletes. Last season they sponsored a volleyball player from Germany. She was appreciative of their friendship and help. She was quite a player. Stuff like that comes out of these plans and most of it is to enhance the programs and the life of our student athletes. You tagged @Ramdog and I know for a fact that he has supported many campaigns which in turn support the students who play the sports at VCU.

Here you go @mike7842

McLaughlin also mentioned in the June interview that facilities are one of the big priorities moving forward. The major projects include a new ballpark, new indoor-outdoor tennis center, and a new indoor fieldhouse and practice fields.

College Consulting was involved in the formulation of the new strategic plan. CarrSports Consulting, LLC helped put together the last strategic plan.

Over the course of the five-year period that the last strategic plan was in place, VCU opened the $25 million basketball practice facility on West Marshall Street, won 20 Atlantic 10 team titles and had 31 team and individual NCAA appearances.

So if this is the "new" five-year plan, what was the plan coming into last year and the year prior? It would be interesting to see what it evolved from...

* rip off the bandwagon fans
* hope the buildings don't fall down; screw the elevators
* spend like drunken sailors on leave for the first time in six months
* drive away the band director
* spend spend spend
* put a CYA plan in place

I see the "mission" of my and most any company in those words. They are a mission statement. That is all.

Yes, the mission is carried out by actions. In the next five years we should see new facilities and other upgrades.
