Freshman, Ace Baldwin Jr., hit two free throws with 4.5 seconds on the clock to push the Rams to victory against the Billikens, 67-65.
Saint Louis was able to get a final shot off, but it would rim out as the clock expired.
VCU (17-5, 10-3 A10) was without the service of leading-scorer Bones Hyland who was resting his foot after a near-injury in the previous games loss to GMU.
