I know we're not going 40-0, but we cannot let Duquesne be the last A10 team standing.
Being that last A-10 team to be undefeated undefeated means nothing if everyone on your OOC schedule is ranked below Little Sisters of the Poor. Duquesne's OOC schedule is an embarrassment to the top tier teams of the A-10. Their remaining OOC schedule is VMI, Columbia, Radford, Austin Peay, UAB and Marshall. They don't play a single P5 school in OOC this year.

From The Athletic this morning:

“ The Mid-Major Top 10

1. Dayton (5-1): We don’t want to overreact to one tournament performance. But it’s hard to deny how good the Flyers looked in Maui while blowing out Georgia and Virginia Tech and taking Kansas to overtime. We don’t need to remind you any longer of Obi Toppin’s awesomeness, but he’s also got a strong supporting cast. Last week: 6

2. San Diego State (8-0): The Aztecs captured the Las Vegas Invitational in grand style, beating Creighton by 31 points (!) and then following it up with a 10-point win over Iowa. Washington State transfer Malachi Flynn was the event’s MVP after scoring 59 points in the two games. The Mountain West race between Utah State and San Diego State — with New Mexico possibly having a say — is going to be a whole lot of fun. LW: 3

3. VCU (6-2): The Rams lost both of their games in the Emerald Coast Classic, and each came down to the final possession. Tennessee hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer in Saturday’s game, while VCU missed a 3 that could have tied the score against Purdue with four seconds remaining. There’s no shame in falling to the Volunteers and the Boilermakers, but there was a real opportunity cost here that will affect VCU’s seeding at the very least. LW: 1”

We only got 2 votes in this weeks AP Top 25. Tied with Richmond and just one vote ahead of Delaware 🤦🏾‍♂️

VCU went from #20 to being tied at #41. And Dayton is now in the Top 25 at #19. Even Liberty is now receiving more votes than VCU. Very, very steep hill to climb now.

Top 25 is great for marketing and recruiting purposes but is a terrible measure of actual team strength. Advanced metrics and resumes are way, way more accurate and important.

Posters on these boards are downplaying two 3 point losses to Purdue and Tennessee, yet the media drops VCU down 21 spots in the rankings. And talking about resumes, where is LSU in this week's rankings. They didn't even receive any votes.

It's the top 25, not the top whoever gets votes. We went from 20 to out. What did you expect after two losses?

The positive is our conference schedule presents greater opportunities for our resume. Not many thought Dayton would be ranked and especially most did not expect ur to be flirting with top 25 votes. We'll get more opportunities, just need to take advantage of them.
