NIL may bind you to a school...deal may run for multi years

The game has changed and not for the better and not for the better for VCU

being the school that players go to when they are not good enuff to play elsewhere will not get us to where we want to be..and where we have been before.

It's a different world

Honestly the NIL for programs like us and non power 5 schools feels like basically a death by a thousands cuts. The gap will just get bigger until all we get are power 5 rejects and under the radar players if there’s such thing. Eventually NCAA will just die or the power schools will break off to build their own arrangement.

They may not want to break off. Being a part of the NCAA gives them legitimacy. Besides, the NCAA is bending over backwards to give the power 5/6 every single thing they want in order to set themselves apart from everyone else. It's been like Christmas for them this year.
