Really love how the schedule has been set up. Cupcake opener, challenging matchup at home, and then a road test before Atlantis. I'm ready to see what the team has to offer on Saturday.

Going to be a tough one without Buzz in the lineup,

Until our guys can start boxing out on the defensive end and start producing more consistently on the offensive end the games are going to be close no matter who we play, although we should have enough fire power to beat Winthrop on the road.

I think it felt like we were getting beat on the glass because WSU took advantage of theirs.

Although we were relatively even in terms of rebounds, WS had 11 2nd chance points, while we only managed 5. I guess one perception would be that they did more with their rebounds than we did, and that may make it seem as if we got "beat" on the glass.

I've always like VCU. I used to like to think that we were in the same league as them, though that is clearly not the case now. Still, a classy program we can aspire to be like.

FYI: Winthrop was picked to finish toward the bottom of the league after replacing four senior starters AND their coach.

Lot's of new parts there. We gotta make shots, but I'd imagine we're a solid favorite in this one.
