Great read. So let him shoot deep 2s and left court 3’s. Play man defense. Don’t let him run as the primary distributor, use him as a 2.

I'm not really concerned about any perceived defensive deficiencies either. A player that chooses to come here knows we are a defense-minded program and I have faith in Coach to build up the defensive skills of anyone coming in and would not expect anyone really to get much playing time if they were a liability on D.

According to the shot selection chart, it sounds like he could not finish around the rim(33% inside 5 ').

That sucks. We dribbble drive alot off those
ball handoffs in out half court sets.

He needs to be able to finish thru contact.

True. But he is Vones's replacement (30 mpg). If he can't finish at the rim as the starting guard then his minutes will be divided amongst several of those players.

...I get ya...but not sure that's a bad thing or that he'll be a starting guard (immediately). I'm sure he was told minutes are earned in practice.
