No. Years of mental abuse that I was blind to/unaware. Was able to get them out of that environment 19 months ago. They are just beginning to open up and heal. Lots of counseling. Long road of recovery ahead for them.
Sounds like you have your priorities straight, best of luck to you sir.

Fully expected to win big last night.
Did NOT expect to see guys half-assing it on the court and falling 27 spots to 144 on the NET.

Covering the spread is a factor in the NIT?
My point was not only was the power rating that of a team that misses the NIT by a wide margin it also was clearly over ranking VCU because they haven’t been covering point spreads before the Jacksonville State game.

And Tech football was in an entirely different position when Beamer took over as compared to Rhoades taking over VCU.
I'm no VT history buff but from 2009-2016 VCU won 25+ games every year, since Rhoades took over the helm, VCU has won 25 games once in 6 seasons (granted this season isn't over yet but i don't think anyone honestly thinks we will win 25 games this year) even if we do that's 2 times in 6 seasons. Rhoades had this program handed to him on a silver platter with winning and recruiting momentum and he has not only stunted the growth and success of the program but has actually caused us to take a few steps back.

And that was my point but apparently not stated clearly enough

And Virginia Tech football has never won 25 games in a season. Not even close.

He had to use Tillman at center because Willy f-ed things up, it's not like he was given the keys to a Maserati. Willy left us in a ditch.

If the NIT or NCAA ever takes POINT SPREADS into account, they need to disband.
The point spread is designed to get 50% of the sucker's money on one side, and 50% of the sucker money on the other side, so Vegas and the betting apps can have 50% of the people think they are winning while they live on the rake.
Has nothing to do , really, with a team ability or worthiness, its just a tool to take money off people.
So if 100% of the people THINK VCU will win, you cant get a good betting action on it, but if you make the bet "Will VCU win by 10" then suddenly that seems like a better bet and people will get on both sides of it.

He’s had 6 years with all our resources. Come on man seriously?
Yep, but we are in early December and I cannot go there until it is over. I do not think they are going to fire our coach. What to do about it? Deal with it and either go support them or get worked up over it. I am sure I will do both. Ha!

I’m just saying the excuse is weak. Wade was over 5 years ago. That’s over a class ago in normal times. Year 1-2 if someone wants to use that fine. Not now in year 6.

I mean if you consider 25 and 26 wins plus our first regular season A10 championship and an NCAA tournament win a ditch, then I'd take being left in that ditch every day that ends in Y.
