Can someone more knowledgeable explain to me how the auto bid situation will work for the 2 new/old conferences? Do they both get an auto bid to the NCAA immediately, or is there a wait period?

Maybe I've missed it before, but that ESPN article referred to the big 5 (BCS), not the usual 6. ESPN has turned the page. Some where deep down I hoped they would get a deal big enough to hold the C7, and in turn leave the A10 alone.

Everyone needs to remember what finally drove the C7 to annouce leaving the BE. The TV CONTRACT brought in less money than expected. The C7 will try to bring in the teams that will best help increase the TV money first. The Richmond market is not that great, but we are building a much better...

And, I meant picked up this basketball year! The cost to the local stations to extended the broad cast can't be very expensive

What's the possibility that the games could eventually get picked up by affiliates in the NoVa & Va beach/Norfolk areas? it could turn into something truly huge if we could grow it state wide.

And what point do penalties serve? Have they actually stopped any of the universities from moving? Are they going to help save the CAA? The only thing they do, is to punish students athletes who have no control of the situation.

The conferences are meant to serve the needs of the educational institutions. When a quarter of a conference's teams plan to exit, and at least a couple more are looking to leave, the conference is not serving the needs of the institutions. At the end of the day, universities and thier...
