The Official Beat the Utah Utes in Salt Lake City in the NIT Quarterfinals Thread

I could have sworn I've seen a NIT banner hanging in the Stu, but I looked it up and apparently not. Maybe I'm thinking of the CBI championship with Shaka or it was another sport (volleyball?).

Regardless, I discovered we actually HAVE made it this far in the NIT before, moving through Marshall and Southern Miss before losing to UConn 69-60 in 1988 under Mike Pollio
I remember getting score updates via phone during that UConn game.lol

They are helluva alot closer to two Dirk Nowiztki's.
I was just being casual as to size, their style is much different than Quinn's. I don't think I would call them Dirk's, but also sure hope we don't make them look like it.

It's March 27 and we are still playing, so GO RAMS, JUST WIN ! ( I think about 37 games we all have a pretty good idea what needs to happen and not happen for us to win games so I will leave it at that)

I've been to Petersburg

My daughter's now a 2LT in the Army. She had to do some training last summer at Fort Gregg-Adams (formerly Fort Lee) in Petersburg.
I could never remember "Gregg-Adams." Being the VCU/MCV guy that I am, I kept calling it Fort "Patch Adams."
She hated that!

I'm trying to whip up support for SLC based USU fans to show up and cheer for VCU. Most are still bitter about Craig Smith's exit 3 years ago.
They aren't bitter about Odom's exit? Frankly, after losing three coaches in three years I might be curled up in the corner in the fetal position.
