2024-25 Roster Thread

Here we go again. Same format as last year. Hopefully with a little less action the first week. Not making any assumptions about who may be returning until they have either indicated that they are coming back or the portal closes on May 1st. I will edit this post daily if things are changing to keep the most recent info at the top. With that being said let's have a great off season and put together a roster that can win the A10!

I don’t really see that with him. He’s not quick. He occasionally will pick a players pocket but he’s gets beat a lot on D. He also struggles distributing the ball. He is not even a good shooter. There were a couple times he got hot but more often than not he was ice cold. He seemed to become a worse shooter as the year went on. I like his passion I really do but I don’t really see how he helps us. Joey was WAY better.
JNel hit some threes early in the year, but over his last 28 games he was under 25% from three.

Joey was an ace distributor, could get to the rack, hit threes, and defend. Comparatively Joey sophomore season he had 208 ast and over 50 threes. JNel had 62 ast and 31 threes. Defensively Joey had twice as many steals.

Literally the only similarity between JNel and Joey is their size.

Both Nelson and Bamisile dribble the ball way too much vs. passing the ball. Bamisile had 31 turnovers to 16 assists. Clean up on aisle 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like J-Nel, but I'd be disappointed if we don't ADD a better guard if Zeb doesn't return.
I think we need another better guard regardless of Zeb, and even with Max for that matter. We can play 3 guards. Plenty of minutes available even with Joe thrown in there.

Bairstow really hogged the minutes at the 3/4 this year. His departure really frees up some minutes.

I'm hesitant to even ask and potentially jynx the situation, but has anything been heard around Lawal's plans yet?
Joe said he is coming back. Max is entering the draft to evaluate his pro prospects and consider a professional career while maintaining college eligibility. Rose is out. Zeb is weighing his options similar to Max without the draft evaluation. Pretty sure that is all we know either officially or unofficially. Everything else has been pretty tight lipped.

I want to see Joe have to earn playing time on the floor with CO's newbies coming aboard. We have at least the two unused scholorships and other players leaving to sign some big talent.

As long as the roots are not severed, all is well. And all will be well in the garden.
