There are restrictions associated with the visas that allow international players to attend schools here, but the rules aren't exactly clear. Since no one knows what is and isn't allowed, most foreign players just don't get NIL money.

Collectives find ways. International trips are just one example. These international guys are getting paid.

That's what I thought, too....seems like you hear something different each day about that.
 
On the one hand, it would be really tempting as a player to see what kind of attention you can get (honestly, probably feels pretty good to be courted by these schools). On the other hand, the grass definitely ain’t always greener. Who knows, maybe he stays.

1) you dont need to be in the portal to be courted. Though it really ramps up once you are in.
2) Grass might not be greener in terms of on-court aspects. But the green often is greener.
