RVA native Curtis Jones just finished his freshman year at IU also. So did former recruiting targets Devonte Green and DeRon Davis... Wonder if they'll transfer. If so, I'd take any of them. All very talented guys.

Agreed. I have a lot of friends who are college basketball fans and are well aware that I am a VCU fan, and I discuss this with them all the time. Some agree, some disagree. Ironically the ones who disagree are Ohio State, UNC, and UVA fans... Just think these casual P5 fans think less of VCU...

Sure that is true but I just can't stand the fans of schools like Illinois, for example, who hide behind their Big 10 logo and the success of other programs... Labeling a school that consistently makes the tournament, out recruits "high major" schools year in and year out, has great facilities...

Don't think that was the case. Shaka had been recruiting top talent during his last few years here pretty regularly... Also geographically made a ton of sense to ride the wave of success he had at VCU and make a run at an in state top 25 kid.
