An email is going out to the AD tomorrow. If an athletic dept is able to call and tell you "we know what you do for a living; you can surely give more"(which they do), they can certainly inform donors that they're being booted to the upper deck even though the product has diminished.

Something very poor about the fact that so any donors who have give good money for several years and have always sat down low have now been kicked to the upper deck. It was cheaper and easier to retain good seating when Grant was winning title after title. Now, the product is not as good yet the...

    DOUBTERS SILENCED

I wont miss Rodriguez next year. His "chip on the shoulder" routine got old long ago. For someone with such a me against the world attitude, he's certainly had a lot of people at VCU bend over backwards to accomodate him. Be it listing him at 2 inches taller than hit real height, allowing him to...

Grant accomplished a heck of a lot more than Smart in his first two years. Wise up

Very well stated, MisterChill. RamBandKid: If you find a song entitled "F You" to be pure genius (and if you do, I'd suggest you re-examine yourself), that's your choice to buy that CD or listen to it as you wish. People buying that CD get what they want when they're listening to it; certainly...

You just made yourself look very immature and showed total lack of perspective; well done, assuming that's what you were shooting for. You excused bad behavior by...shocker...comparing it to other bad behavior. "Hey, other people are vulgar and have no self control, so why cant we be like...

Ahh yes...more excusing of bad behavior. "But college kids yada yada yada..." . When you were in college did you not understand levels of appropriateness? You can be tried for crimes as an adult at age 18; you can vote for elected officials; wouldnt you think they are old enough to know better...

As usual, Victorious is clear-minded and thoughtful in his perspective. Booing or showing passion is a a part of sports and the culture that it produces. Using the "f" word as a part of a taunt, cheer, or song/dance has no place in sports. If we continue to allow this behavior to be tolerated...

Your point of view here is incredibly baffling. If, in your world, "anything goes" then you're certainly able to live as you choose. However, when you have no problem with other people imposing their trash mouths on others you show how disengaged you are with families, parents, or more...

You just showed your age, buddy. "Dick Face"? Really? Gee, hard to imagine you're okay with singing "f*** you"; you come across as such a renaissance man with thoughtful description like "dick faces" You are excusing bad behavior by attempting to compare it to other bad behavior...

So a fan does not get to decide at what point their children are exposed to that kind of crass lanaguage? YOU determine this because you think you're "cool" by lobbing playground vulgarities at a basketball game? No. You dont get to impose your 8th grade language on others who didnt sign up for...

Imagine if some of the people who find this behavior okay were to take their kids to the state fair and were serenaded to the sweet sounds of "f*** you" by 2,000 strong? Think theyd be okay with that? Why is it any diff at a sporting event. If you're going to be objected for throwing items on...

Doesnt matter who they were pointing at. No one needs to be singing "f... you", 2,000 in unison, at a public event where kids, families, and others who didnt pay $15 to listen to that garbage. It reflects poorly on the band, the student, and the school for allowing it.

    1) How does our band play a song called "F... You" without it being approved by higher-ups within the Athletic Ddept or whomever those decision makers might be? 2) How naive can you be to think that playing that song wont result in 2000 students all yelling "f*** you" and pointing at the Mason...

With all due respect, nobody is going to believe that. It's common knowlege that a few in the athletic dept "use" certain people on here to post what they'd like to post themselves. You may or may not fit the profile; I certainly cannot say for sure. But given the propensity for it to occur...

Respectfully, with the understanding that you are in direct cahoots with the athletic dept. I would expect you to take exception to criticism of Smart. But I just cannot see how you think Brandon's defense is such a liability. Im not sure I could be convinced of that, short of seeing him totally...

My rebuttal: Smart plays Joey at the 2 guard when he's much more valuable as a point guard: an example of not putting someone in the position in which they'll be most successful Brad wasnt difficult to figure out; rather he's been an underlcassman on teams where he deferred to Maynor/Sanders...

EMoney; I've posted something similar previously. I share the same opinion in you in this regard. The greatest coaches, in my opinion, are the ones that get the most out of what they have and put their players in positions where they will be at their very best.
