Nice find...Cameron Black has great skills. Nice jumper and looks like he can hit free-throws.

Which coach has the Ohio connections? Shaka from his days at Akron?
 
Don't forget about the local, Jarvis Threatt, PG from Highland Springs (2010), Grant was recruiting him before he left.
 
I would think we are set at PG for a couple of years.

Cameron Black has a nice touch, can shoot from outside. But his vertical is weak. Hard to be critical though, after all he is probably only 15 or 16 in the videos. 6'9 at that age! His muscle probably hasn't had a chance to catch up to his growth. Speaking of which, he will probably grow a couple more inches and he already has some bulk. Looks like he has potential.

I don't know if we have ever signed a kid from Ohio before. But I'm guessing not.
 
I know we had a guard from Ohio before (late 70s o early 80s), but can't remember his name.

Black sounds like the type of player we need to sign for next year. At least two of them.

Wasn't he there in the early 80's or so? I think he was one of guys I tutored in biology when I was working on my MS at VCU.
 
Danny Kottak was from Louisville, and Lionel Bacon was also from Kentucky. Pretty close. And if I'm not mistaken, Khitara Reliford was from the Cincy area of Ohio. He played a pretty solid freshman year, and then he transferred to Butler.
 
Yes, I remember Bruce Allen, and he was from Ohio. I believe he was Ohio Player of the year for the OH conf. he played in based on school size [I think they had/have 3 or more classifications].

I don't recall the exact year(s) he was a Ram, but believe it was early 80's [after I graduated in ['81].
 
Bruce Allen may have been the first VCU player to sport a jheri curl if I remember correctly.
