Looks like we'll be back in the final four next year. Joe Lunardi has put out his first Bracketology for next year. Of note, George Mason gets the CAA auto bid and no other CAA team gets in or is next four out, etc. This is a great sign, since the guy has obviously no idea what he's talking about.

He couldn't even get it right the morning of the selection show. What a clown. He does have UAB in the first round again though. Oh, and UVA

EDIT: Also has Tech in as a 6 seed. I doubt if they will even be seeded that high in the NIT.

Tech fans should start pre-ordering their tickets for the NIT tournament next year.

Bastard still wont let me prove that VCU can guard him.

You heard it from the chump first. Undefeated season and no.1 seed.

• Please don't shoot me for omitting VCU. The Rams lose four key seniors and appear headed for a rebuilding season. Of course, this probably means they will go undefeated and become a No. 1 seed. With VCU and Old Dominion both rebuilding, George Mason should be the class of the Colonial ahead of upstarts like Drexel and James Madison.

Lunardi is still in diapers compared to some of the real bracketologists like Palm and Warren Nolan who were doing it while Lunardi was stil in kindergarten. During the week leading up to selection sunday while these guys were watching games and updating their brackets, lunardi was doing color commentary for the A 10 tourney and didn't have a clue what was going on in the rest of the country. ESPN can do way better than this fool.

ESPN is the Fox News of sports journalism. Joe Lunardi has name recognition, which accounts for more than anything when it comes to that network.

We were down in Houston getting back to the busses on the Friday before the game and we saw Jerry Palm and he was excited to see the VCU fans and started yelling "I picked you guys, I picked you guys!!" We thanked him. :D

Lunardi and Bilas are still on my list. I have given a pass to Dickie V since he has given us some love...

Speaking of Jay Bilas, he was doing the color commentary for the McDonalds' HSAA game, and when the topic of the NBA lockout possibly affecting the chances of "cinderellas" (we were specifically mentioned) he reiterated that he still believed we were not deserving of the bid to begin with.

Some people just don't know when to let it go. :?

So here's the scenario:

On one side you have a 5-time NBA Champion and Hall-of-Famer, a 2-time NBA Champion and Hall-of-Famer, another Hall-of-Famer, a 5-time NBA Champion, and a legendary college basketball coach all offering generous praise for VCU.

On the other side you have a former college basketball player and assistant coach, a 4-year college basketball head coach (and one year in the NBA), and a play-by-play announcer, who roundly criticize VCU.

Who do you think carries more weight?

Magic Johnson, Bill Walton, Charles Barkley, Steve Kerr, and John Thompson?

Or Jay Bilas, Dick Vitale, and Joe Lunardi?

Excellent point, I'll take the all stars over the three dicks any day of the week.

He just can't keep our name out of his mouth. Must be infatuated with us. I don't blame him.
