The Colonial Athletic Association has launched a 2011 CAA Men’s Basketball Championship App, which is formatted for IPhones, Android and many Blackberry devices.

Beginning today and throughout the Virginia 529 College Savings Plan CAA Men’s Basketball Championship, the App will feature updated news items, including All-Conference awards, game stories, game recap videos and coverage of post-game press conferences. Also included will be a continuously updated tournament blog written by Michael Litos, live audio and video (when permitted), bracket updates, photo galleries, historical features and plenty of information for fan-based activities while visiting Richmond.

There is no charge for the App. Simply text CAAMBB to 88398 or go to http://www.caasports.com and follow the instructions under the Download the App button. A similar App will be launched for the CAA Women’s Basketball Championship next week.

downloaded and installed it yesterday on my blackberry. Looks pretty nice, already some blogs up from Litos, looks like a nice app, expecially since its free. It will be nice if it works as advertised during the event, having video highlights and press conferences as it claims, will be cool inbetween sessions and what not.
