2011 Recruits - A lot of guards

Man I'm getting old! I taught Marvin King-Davis a few years ago and now he's getting ready for college? Unreal. I can say without a doubt that he is an awesome kid and will make any school that is lucky enough to have him very proud. Great kid from a great family. I wonder how much interest there is from VCU at this point? I hope I don't have to watch him come into the SC wearing a Northeastern jersey. Would be tough to stomach.

Standout players
Shane Larkin, PG (5-11, 160)
2011, Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips

Larkin is a true point guard with great speed, quickness and acceleration with the ball. He likes to push the ball off the dribble but will advance pass to a sprinting wing as well. Larkin is also a consistent threat take the outlet pass and score at the rim in a very minimal amount of dribbles. He likes to shoot the teardrop over taller defenders and can knock down open jumpers with range to the arc. He is excellent at drawing and dishing or dropping off at the rim. Larkin also understands how to feed the low post and relocate for his shot when his defender helps inside. At times, Larkin will take chances, leave his feet and force shots that lead to turnovers. For the most part, he makes the right decisions and has a good basketball IQ. On defense, he is alert in the passing lanes and applies good ball pressure. Larkin is fun to watch because he can get into a groove and take over the game for stretches of time, especially in a transition game. Larkin says he is hearing from Clemson, South Florida, Central Florida, VCU and George Mason so far.

You won't have to worry about him walking into the STU wearing a NU jersey he will be sporting a Blue Hens one

Who was the little white kid we were looking at that passed like Pistol Pete? He committed?

Tyler Lewis-yes-I found him on scout-golly looking at the schools interested-everybody east of the Miss. From NC and avg 20 this year-reason I havent heard anything is because he is a 2012 class-go get him shaka!

We aren't really recruiting Tyler Lewis anymore. If he goes mid-major he will go to Charlotte. His brother plays for them. Otherwise he has blown up past the mid-major level.

Well he's too good for mid Vcu? carry on son-see you in St. Louis.

BTW, tyler lewis' brother was a walk on who only played in 6 games last year if that means anything-Tyler going to that program is a waste for him
