The FIBA and college 3 point lines are both 22 feet 1.75 inches.

Belle shot close to 50% on 2 attempts a game last season. Patrick is an excellent shooter.

Belle was 45% last year for the 21U team, but with a fairly small sample size, just under 2 a game.. Patrick in 22-23 with Reisen shot 38.9. The film shows some of those 3s were 25+ feet.

The vid only showed a couple of him handling the ball. Seems to be more of a catch and shoot type player similar to Shriver or even Daniels when he first started at VCU. Not that that is a bad thing. We need knockdown shooters. He also seems to get the ball off very quickly which is great.

Video indicates he’s the real deal. Great range. Quick release. Squares shoulder/feet. Looks good with catch-release, and does really good job coming off screens with stop and pop. I’m very excited he will be a first year contributor on O, not a starter. No video to show his ability to create his own shot or his passing. But the J is there now. Also no insight from video on his D. I’m guessing it will be an area for development. Folks were excited about Shriver as a shooter. Rightfully so, but we’re getting Patrick (when will it happen?) as a Freshman not a senior. Based on video only he has the tools to become a premier shooter in A10 with several years development and adjustment to RO system and college game.

5/31/23

Going into the summer, I'll assume (for now) that Bamisile gets his waiver.

Heading to Greece July 31........

13-player roster:
1-2 =
Shulga, Bamisile, Jackson, Nelson, Patrick
3-4 = Bairstow, Belle, Kuany, Billups, Scholly #13
5 = Wheeler, Lawal, Fermin

Upperclassmen (6): 6'4"Shulga, 6'8"Bairstow, 6'4"Bamisile, 6'9"Kuany, 6'5"Jackson, 6'10"Wheeler
Underclassmen (6): 6'10"Fermin, 6'6"Billups, 6'8"Lawal, 6'6"Belle, 6'5"Patrick, 5'10"Nelson
Undetermined (1): Scholly #13

Preliminary rotation:
1-2
= Shulga, Bamisile, Jackson
3-4 = Bairstow, Belle, Kuany
5 = Wheeler, Lawal

This group (collectively) better hit the weight room hard this summer/fall.

When the dust settles, the player carousel (swaps; primarily as it relates to size) is essentially/effectively:

1. Baldwin - Nelson
2. Nunn - Bamisile
3. Kern - Bairstow
4. Watkins - Belle
5. Deloach - Wheeler
6. Johns - Kuany
7. Shriver - Patrick
8. Banks - Shulga
9. McAllister - TBD
----------------------------
10. Jackson - Jackson
11. Billups - Billups
12. Fermin - Fermin
13. Lawal - Lawal

This is downright depressing. I also think it will prove to be inaccurate, but that's another story altogether.

Shriver/Patrick .... didn't you just know it? Both remind me a lot of Chris Brower.

Couldn’t Brower create his shot? From little video I’ve seen of Patrick it appears he’s more of a catch/shoot type player, with quick release and long range. Even though I know little about Patrick’s D, ball handling or ability to create his own shot the fact he has a strong skill from long range is exciting because he’ll be a freshmen. Depending on how long he stays he could become special. Wouldn’t it have been nice if Shriver had another year or two remaining.
