I looked up the score. Seemed very much like one of those "What can you do?" sort of games.I like their new HC and think he’ll get them there. UD shot the lights out against them in the quarterfinals
Towson (who Delaware just beat) is pretty close too. No NCAA bids since 1990 and 1991, their only two bids ever.W&M has got to be the most snakebit program of all time
I listened to an interview with Fran a couple weeks back and his hire was always intended to be 2 or 3 years max while Lasalle did a couple of other things. They didn’t hire him to move the needle but to keep the ship afloat. Also found it cool that not only is he the coach but he is also a professor there with a real class he teachesI guess give LaSalle credit for trying someone who ISN'T 70+ years old??
And before anyone bangs on me, I have nothing but respect for the amazing career of Fran Dunphy AND I'm glad a guy his age is motivated to "stay in the game". Philly Legend for sure....but his hire was a "safe" hire and, in almost no way, helped propel the LaSalle program forward.
That's a fair point....Didn't know about the teacher thing. Did they say what class it was? that's cool...thanks for thatI listened to an interview with Fran a couple weeks back and his hire was always intended to be 2 or 3 years max while Lasalle did a couple of other things. Yeah, Fran was always intended to be a stopgap hire to provide a bit of stability while La Salle looked for a longer term solution. They might not have had a great record this season but they were more competitive than they've been in a while, so I'd say they succeeded.I listened to an interview with Fran a couple weeks back and his hire was always intended to be 2 or 3 years max while Lasalle did a couple of other things.
