Most likely it's a talking point for their AD. Curry makes a big donation and having his name associated with the school in an official capacity should carry some weight with recruits, even if that involvement isn't really any different from any other donor.I don't get it. Is Steph Curry moonlighting with the GM job?
I would imagine that having a Zoom call with Curry would be a big selling point for bigger name recruits. Most likely it's a talking point for their AD. What a historic season it was for them.Richmond's season is officially done-zo.
Their second worst season since joining the A10 (after going 8-22 in 2006-07...meanwhile we were beating Duke). What a historic season it was for them.
Not that I care about Kansas at all, but they are 12-11 in Q1/2 games and sitting at 18 in the NET. They have as many Q1 wins as we do Q1 AND Q2 wins combined and it's not like they lost; they are advancing in the Big XII tournament. Kansas' resume is more than good enough to get them in. They should and will be in.... I'm sorry but this argument doesn't make a lot of sense logically.Kansas is in trouble……again. So underachieving this year; probably shouldn’t even be in the tournament, but of course they will.
In the last 44 seasons, we have had 14 with .500 or less winning percentage on selection Sunday. What a historic season it was for them.

If you swapped VCU's and Kansas' resumes, I don't think you'd be arguing that we shouldn't be in because we underachieved... you'd be pointing to the 6 Q1 wins and the 12 Q1/2 wins and ZERO Q3/4 losses saying that this is a no brainer... and it is. They have a 100% chance in the Bubble Watch link on ESPN to make the tournament and they should. While I do feel they are a bit overrated, Kansas' down year is 12 Q1/2 winsThat's insane.
If anything, UNC is the team that shouldn't be in.... though somehow, they are now on the good side of the bubble. Wonder how much of that is the power of their brand and their history. Not just their program's historical greatness but more so the past couple of years of kind of coming out of nowhere this time of year and making a run. With a 1-11 Q1 record, they have one less Q1 win than we do and have a Q3 loss. The 7-0 record in Q2 games is strong, but an 8-11 Q1/2 record with a Q3 loss isn't great. They should cruise past Wake Forest today but should get knocked out by Duke tomorrow... but you never know with that rivalry.
