2024-25 Roster Thread

Here we go again. Same format as last year. Hopefully with a little less action the first week. Not making any assumptions about who may be returning until they have either indicated that they are coming back or the portal closes on May 1st. I will edit this post daily if things are changing to keep the most recent info at the top. With that being said let's have a great off season and put together a roster that can win the A10!

Ahh. Throwback to the days of 4 TV channels and black n white TV. No one under 30 has any idea what this is...
....and no "clicker" to change the channels.... and aluminum foil bows on your rabbit ears to improve the signal....
Man, I'm starting to feel pretty old right now!

My dad was a foster kid whose foster mother had a Rappahannock House right near the house pier right outside Tappahannock. Always had Waylon Jennings, George Jones and Hank Williams playing. I've been stung by nettles everywhere you can imagine, and it never got any easier to tolerate. Crabbed 24/7. We pumped water from a rusty horse head looking pump in the front yard to drink, dump in the back of a toilet if you needed to do a #2, we got used to that at a very early age, and to be bathed with- they bathed us in a large steel pail, we drank from the same pail when no one was being bathed in it, drank with a metal ladle. It was a trailer with a large crudely enclosed porch extended side porch, and a big ancient tube TV on the side porch with a screwed up vertical hold which would squish bodies so they looked short and squat. We desperately came up with every invention known to human kind to get anything resembling reception, crumbling up foil and tin cans of all types- yeah it was a case of, "hold your left hand right there and point your right hand toward the water".
Whoever came up with a good picture on any given night was a gddamm Einstein.

Belle seemed to get a lot more minutes tonight with Fermin being hurt. I found it telling the confidence Shulga had in him to give him the rock with the shot clock winding down. C’mon dawg, show me some Freight Train!

So what’s the accurate projection, then? Or is the answer that nobody really knows?

An amount less than $384,000 because all those viral stories from two weeks ago that DL has only just discovered for some reason neglect to mention that the $4-5 million being spent to pay players covers *all* sports, not just men's basketball. Considering that the baseball team has a limit of 34 scholarship players, that $4-5 million's going to be split a lot of ways, even if baseball players don't get paid as much as men's basketball players.

In addition, there was just guidance released indicating that payments to players have to confirm to Title IX, so female athletes will have to be paid a reasonable amount as well.

This is old, incorrect crap. Glad I don’t get my “breaking news” from DL.

It popped up on my YouTube feed last night and I was like ...I actually thought it was more than that....I posted to see if it was accurate or not..
I figured someone here would "vet" it.. I appreciate the feedback..thanks..

And if collectives are still a thing, the pool of NIL could be over $5 mil as well right? I have no clue, but some others on the forum do I am sure.
