lol I gotcha.... I did add the minutes played tho.... cause its always a discussion of who gets too much playing time, who doesn't get enough... etc.
 
I've added / expanded my stats categories even more.... here are the additions I made

1st Half Scoring & Opponents First Half Scoring

Opponents Total Scoring (to go along with VCU's total scoring that I have always used)

Turnover Margin (to go with both VCU's Turnovers & Opponents Turnover totals)

Rebounding Margin (to go with both VCU's Rebounds & Opponents Rebound totals)

Opponent Free Throw Attempts/Percentages (To go with VCU's that I've always used)


I expanded the 3 Point % categories to
  • Shooting Under 30%
  • Shooting 30-39%
  • Shooting 40% or better.
(Previously was just a random % & then higher or lower.... 35% for us, 30% for opponents.... but I changed it)

Expanded the foul break down for both VCU & it's opponents:
  • 20+ fouls
  • 15-19 fouls
  • 11-14 fouls
  • 10 or fewer
I expanded the steals breakdown
  • 10+ steals
  • 5-9 steals
  • under 5 steals
(Previously it was 10+ steals or under 10 steals, but last year we had so many games under 10 steals.... I felt I should break it down more incase we have a repeat year with not a lot of steals)

I expanded the Assists Breakdown:
  • 20+ assists
  • 15-19
  • 11-14
  • 10 or fewer

And these are in addition to the ones you guys have already requested..... Over/Under, Spreads, Playing time (went with 15+ & Under 15 mins played in a game).

Also added in a DNP category for when someone does not play (for whatever reason).... the Under 15 mins played category will only count those who actually entered the game (even if its garbage time).... and DNP's will only count those who do not enter the game at all.

You could probably just scan the full stat sheet for the game as an image then feed it into an Ai with the right prompt, pulling out all the necessary data into a new table that you could save as a CVS file for Excel. Then copy the data into a template set with all the right formulas to tabulate the stat sheet. Or something along those lines.

It would be a lot of prep work to set up all the spreadsheets and Ai prompts. One would need to be setup and tested it all. After that, it is just a matter of feeding in the full set of game stats and let excel and/or Ai do all the work.. Ai isn't always great with numbers so there would need to be some data checking.

Alternatively use Ai to build python code to do all the calculations from a CVS file of game stats. That might even be faster if someone understand how to code and run it.
