I started respecting him more after that first season at McNeese and seeing the mutual love and respect down there. He left them in a great place.
 
I will cheer him instead of jeer him when he comes. And then well beat them like rented mules.

Seriously, This was an outstanding thing to do for both schools. Win win and we need more like it.

I think Ryan will man up as well and beyond just the contractual requirement.

If this happens, that is shaping up to be a very nice schedule. Any discussions about adding a couple more high profile games? Even one and done away games?
What about VT? They could certainly benefit by scheduling the Rams?

Also American, who won't exactly be the cupcakiest cupcake since they'll be returning a lot of pieces from an NCAA tournament team. So far the schedule looks pretty good.

UVA is no sure fire bet this year.... unless its been announced somewhere else? Odom has 3 years to start the H&H or pay the buyout..... NONE of the previous coaching regimes dating back to Capel have started it year 1. And I think Capel was the only to start it in year 2.

Why do you keep propping up American? They finished the season with a NET ranking of 226. They had zero quad 1 or 2 wins. They had 3 quad 3 losses and 6 quad 4 losses. They got beat by Mount St. Mary's in their NCAA play-in game and also lost during the regular season to La Salle by 13 and St. Joe's by 27. They did beat GW on their home court by 10, but that was their only quad 3 win. This game is clearly going to be a quad 4 home game for VCU.

not that it changes their profile one bit but they did loose their best player in that first four game. I too expect it to be a Q4 game but I also realize not every game can be Q1 or Q2

Because it's a Quad 4 game we could very well lose if we look past it.

So far, there are only two posts on the NC State boards regarding the game. The first post mentioned the Stu is a good place in RVA to catch a game. Little do they know tickets will be very tough for them to get. The other post only stated they like the scheduling.

Regarding tickets to the game in Raleigh, if you order them early, you should be able to get lower level corner/end zone seats. Also, I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of tickets on the secondary market. NC State fans show up for Duke and UNC, with plenty of seats available for other games. Lenovo Center seats 19,500 for basketball and you do NOT want to be in the upper levels.

NC State does play one game at Reynolds Coliseum called the Heritage Game. Normally, it's against lower level Q4 teams. Last year was Coppin State. In previous years, it has been Maryland - Eastern Shore, Coppin State and Bethune-Cookman. I don't envision VCU even being considered for that game.
