Anyone think St. Joes' Xzayvier Brown could be headed to Richmond?

Weird coincidence that he entered the portal the same day we get a commitment from another Philly kid, Ahmad Nowell. St. Joes was losing their other top players in Flemming and Reynolds.

Yes, He looks great on tape, He has all tools, the accolades and EYBL highlight..all that 5 bucks won't buy you a coffee at Starbucks...High risk/High reward.

But if he was a plug and play starter..why did Hurley overrecruited him for Silas Demary Jr.?

Maybe he turns out to be another Bub Carrington, Jaland Lowe or even Josh Hubbard...all of whom were 1st year sensations..(and yes...this is his 1st year because he didn't play last year.

He could all turn out to be a Deshawn Harris-Smith, Trey Green , Ty-Laur Johnson...

I sincerely hope he turns out to be a sensation..I will gladly eat Crow if that's the case...but it's awful lot of Bag to risk if Zeb Jackson isn't given a 6th year as an insurance policy.

What if he was a 7'0", 260-pound 5 who was ranked 33rd nationally out of high school, and averaged 1.5 points, .9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, shot 35% from the field and 18% from 3 in 6 minutes per game during his freshman season at UConn?

If he's as bad as you think he is we probably didn't spend much, so why worry?

There is no shame in admitting you were "wrong" or "off" on this one...Whatever credibility you have on these boards, and it's been eroding quickly of late, is shot to sh1t unless you can acknowledge that either....

A-This is a notable signing based on the universally accepted metrics of HS basketball rankings by ALL parties involved

and/or

B-RamNation is VERY excited by the arrival of a player at a position of need, and throwing shade at said arrival is a bad look at best....and beyond d1ckish and petty at worst.

Do with this advice what you will....

If Nowell doesn't work out?? in, like 10 months, Then by all means....give us an "I told you so".....that is, if you really wanna be that guy. I was an early adopter of the "Get Roosevelt Wheeler to VCU" push a couple years ago....and then he got here....and then he cratered hard...and I mea culpa'd up and down these forums for getting it so wrong.

Not sure about definite yet. Got to wait until April 22nd for the portal to close.

2) Sr Jackson, Z (5th yr) or Portal (or Russell)
3) Sr Tracey (5th yr) or Portal
4) Sr Evans
5) So Bamgboye (or Portal) or *

Rotation
6) So Jennings (Combo Guard)
7) So Hill (or Portal)
8) Jr Belle (or Portal)
9) Jr Mitchell
10) Sr Fermin (or Portal)

Bench
11) Fr Tillery
12) Jr Billups or Portal or HS recruit (late signee/decommit)
13) Portal or HS recruit (late signee/decommit)

Italics = prospective add or return

*Mitchell could end up here

Note: Players, of course, can move up and down the 13-player roster "ladder" depending on any number of circumstances (injury, performance, attrition, roster adjustments, etc)
