VCU lost close to 80% of its scoring. Mostly in the backcourt. As it stands, the roster includes Jennings, Hill, Fats and Tillery on the perimeter. None of whom are experienced proven scorers.

In light of all that, why select another unproven prospect on potential when all the other guys listed above are already vying for minutes.

Per Jeff Goodman, the minimum NIL compensation for projected bench players on top 25 basketball program is 200 - 700k. This is based on a survey of HM basketball coaches. VCU is a top 30 program

Let's for argument sake say Nowell is penciled into the starting 5...is he a laterall move, downgrade or upgrade from Max Shulga, Zeb Jackson or Phillip Russell?

Can you honestly say the staff can just Nowell into the starting lineup or off the bench to run the offense and help VCU to the post season without missing a beat?

You are asking questions that you or nobody can answer. I will say that I think Nowell is a great pick up for the style of play Coach Martelli will employ. Coach Martelli(s), Coach Cole and Coach Daly are all familiar with Philly and know what they are getting.

You don't have any idea of the NIL agreement we have with him. Honestly I can't find any reason in the world why you would care lol, or think you had a better insight than our coaches

There's a tremendous amount of support to be grateful for 'round these parts. The heartbeat of this program that continues to boost its validity and resulting resiliency is in fact, the people, and if you know you know, when outsiders refer to this as a heck of a job, they at least have a basic idea of this, too. Each and every one of us who support this program in all our small and big ways deserve a nod, tip of the hat, a pat on the back. You don't stop.

If PM Jr (with PM Sr input) along with our Dir of Recruiting, Burgess, wanted this proven HS top talent than I’m not going to even speculate. I’m excited and can’t wait to see his development in ‘25/‘26. This is momentum. More announcements to come. Let’s enjoy the ride!
