2025-26 Roster Thread

Not throwing shade, but I think there is an equal chance that he could average more, but could also average less.

It's up to him, his hands, and PMJ at this point.
With a new coaching staff anything is possible, but I don't see a returning senior center getting less than 15 minutes per game.

I agree. Considering Fermin is two coaches removed from the guy who recruited him, PMJ has zero emotional ties to ensure Fermins gets X number of minutes per game. Only Evans and Mitchell are "his guys" at this point and are probably the only ones guaranteed significant minutes initially. Everybody else will earn their court time through merit.

Like you said, Fermin's minutes will be based on what he shows the coaching staff between now and the first game.

Let's not forget Jimmy Martelli was here when Fermin was recruited by Coach Rhoades and staff, and also for his freshman year.

2 scholarships left. Do we use them or are we set at 13?
My hunch is we're done. I could maybe see us bringing in another transfer PG if we decide we want some more experience there (all our guards are sophomores or freshmen), but the guards we have look really good and I'd be fine if we didn't.

Why waist the money when it can be used elsewhere. Going to 15 players is not going to increase the rotation/playing time for bench players.

Now, if some rich parent wants to buy one of the two remaining spots on the roster for their son, then I say go for it. $100,000 per year minimum + cost of education/room/board and zero NIL money and they can watch their son in the warmup line each game.

Major reason I'd wanna see all schollies used is the word that begins with an "I" that I don't want to mention. Playing fast with dangerous defense which is what we're anticipating will be physically demanding- it'll take a toll. You're gonna wanna see a deep bench. Depth is the solution.
