Teams are allowed to contact 2025 recruits starting today and I saw on twitter that VCU reached out to

Jackson Keith SF North Carolina (46th in the country)
Colt Langden PF North Carolina (60th)

Silas Barksdale PF Virginia
I missed others and good chance the guys we end up getting aren't listed here but usually when a coach makes sure to contact them right away they are decently high up on the board.

247 says 6'7" or 8" excellent shooter great effort on defense. A couple years ago was listed as 6'3", so he's grown a bit. Don't know for sure, but that could mean he has some guard/wing skills.

“I’d say I’m hearing from VCU, Virginia Tech, and Maryland the most right now,” Mallory said. “I’ll probably look at setting visits to those three schools here soon.”
VCU: “I don’t know too much about the new staff over there, but I’ve been talking with them a lot. It’s like a family over there, so there is a big family aspect over there that is pretty cool. They like how I can control the pace of the game with the ball and attack the paint. They also like that I can knock down shots.”

It seems like he is targeting a lot of 4 and 5 star recruits. Especially with the transfer portal that is really good for us. Even if a guy initially commits to a big school and we already have planted that seed for if it doesn’t work out.
