If you listen to the VRN braintrust, they are saying we will play fast and don't need nor want a dominant low post enforcer. Playing on a two legged stool seems to be what they want.....because that always works....not.

I mean... we don't need one lol we just proved it this season with only Ferm & Luke and still won the conference. Granted Luke far exceeded expectations on the defensive end, but we currently have as many bigs on the roster as we did last year. Not saying we shouldn't get another, but this obsession with trying to get a Jalen Haynes, Chad Venning type guy bc y'all have PTSD is ridiculous. There's not many good post players in college to begin with, let alone dominant.

MSS was the last guy to fit that mold. We're going on the 3rd coaching staff and 8 seasons since he was signed, so at some point y'all have to accept that this archetype is either rarer than you think, not the type we recruit, or both.

Going to have some awesome guard play if the prediction is correct. Now let’s just get a big to help these guys out. Also we could end up having a Dematha and Gonzaga guy on the roster soon. Liking the dmv recruiting

Venning did a real number on people around here. Esp given that the last time we played him he had 8p 1r and we beat his team by 60 or 70 points.

We absolutely need to be looking for help down low. Even if Luke comes back we need more help down low. But we do not need, and really couldn't use, a "wide bodied enforcer" type with the style PM intends to play.
