23-24 Opponent Tracking Thread

Fermin will mishandle the pass but somehow be in the perfect position for the open lay up but will then pass out for the much better shot, a contested 30 footer as the shot clock expires.

...well then, this is absolutely freaking shocking. Parker was one of the best guards in the A10 until he got injured. McNeese must've ponied up some strong-ass money for Wade to go after him.

McNeese must have some of that Gulf Coast oil money to throw around. This one surprises me.

Will wade and his staff have a acquired their 2nd quality transfer in the last 3 days...at a school with a fraction of VCU's financial resources(Practice facility, player travel amenities, NIL etc) and 2762 transfers now in the portal..VCU cannot get one...this doesn't add up..

What doesn’t add up?
They must have a bigger NIL bucket

Not that complicated

McNeese State has an endowment of $118 million. If it were in the A10, it would be the third smallest in the conference. Even Hobart College - an associate member of the A10 for men's lacrosse only - has 2.5 times more money. They absolutely do not have a bigger NIL bucket (and in fact, they are estimated to have a bit more than half as much NIL money as VCU does).

From what I hear VCU has a nice NIL number right now. Somewhere in the $1.5 million range is my guess. It should grow but the big thing is budgeting for an annual amount. We always talk about players but the program has to be selective because you don't want to hand out 75 to 100 grand plus to just fill a roster. Also, the big issue right now is the BIG numbers some are asking for....$500 grand for one player does not allow much trickle down economics.

Coach Odom made it a point to stress how important fit was to him at the latest Odom Hour.
