Seems as though URI has the inside track on Dahmir Bishop with Xavier making a move right now.

As has been said before, Rhode Island might be the leader going into things, but Xavier is definitely charging hard. Travis Steele and assistant in charge Dante Jackson have both put in a ton of time recently with Bishop and his family. Both continue to make it clear that Bishop is a priority for the Musketeers at the highest level.

Currently the vibe doesn’t seem to be that a commitment would happen on his first visit. It just seems unlikely given how Bishop is handling his recruitment at the moment, but Xavier still moved things up a week in order to make sure Bishop gets to campus.
 
it's interesting that 247 has characterize the Dahmir Bishop Sweep Stakes between Xavier and URI while Rivals says it's between URI and VCU...any Dahmir visits Xavier this weekend...will be interesting to see how this plays out.

It was a rare quiet weekend in the Travis Steele era for Labor Day, but things get back going again this weekend with top target Dahmir Bishop.

The Philadelphia native has pushed his visit up one weekend, and will be coming to Cincinnati on Friday to make his official visit to Xavier.

The main two schools at the moment continue to be Xavier and Rhode Island, though Penn State and VCU also remain in the mix, with Providence also having an outside shot."
