5 point dogs..

3 to 3.5 underdogs now. I hope they looking past us and aren't ready.

We haven't been playing with any confidence, consistancy, or swagger at the Stu. UAB is tough at home. It's right before a holiday when it's easy to be distracted. This looks like a recipe for a blow-out. I still question the health of JR and BR. Them not being a 100% will hurt us. We still have freshmen learning their way/roles. Give the points.

I like the shake-up in our starting 5 last game. I think that is the reason we didn't fall behind by 10+ in the first half as in our previous 3 games.

I think this game is a huge game as far as defining our near future as a program. The past few years we have enjoyed a consistent high level of success. I think a bad loss tonight could be the foreshadowing of slipping back into the status of "average," but "one of those teams that on any given night can beat anybody."

5 point dogs sounds about right. Unfortunately, some people will likely still be ready to crucify the coach and point guard if that does happen....

Been a long time since we won down there.

A win would be realll nice to have. I'm hoping we can make it happen, need to come out knocking down shots and force some turnovers, although it looked like they weren't really trying to trap and force them against tulane, but I'm hoping we can pull this one out tonight.

Honestly...I don't have a ton of confidence in this team's ability to win on the road after a blowout to UofR and a bunch of close ones at home. So if I were a betting man I might even take UAB winning by 5+. That said, I definitely subscribe to the idea of a team being "due", which I think we've got some guys who definitely are (mainly the heart and soul of this team, Joey Rodriguez). Gimme the Rams winning this one outright. I'll say by 4 or 5.

I think we'll do what we did in the South Florida game. That is, start off slow, then come roaring back at the half. Force turnovers, make some 3s, reel the Blazers back in and make it a very close game at the end.

I would not be surprised with either a win or a loss. If our shots fall and we don't give up a bunch of offensive boards to UAB then I can see us winning by 8-12 points. If our shots don't fall then this team has consistently allowed that to affect the other facets of our game. In my opinion, we are not mentally tough enough to grind out a win on the road against a quality opponent like UAB. Switching gears, is the last time we won down there when Vince Wilson hit a 3 at the buzzer in 1988?

this is a sort of unusual tema for UAB since I think their best player is theri big man, whom Ithink Jamie canmatch up with. Usually UAB has big guards that score in bunches....not so sure about this year's addition. We are due a break in the eyes of the B-ball god...screw the 5 take the Rams (heck its not my money)

If we get hot from 3 and make 50-60% of our shots we could win this. Reddic is due to bust out - - you heard it here first - - a double double tonight for JR.

If I read the record book correctly, we have not won at Birmingham since Feb. 13, 1988 (and the score was 89-88! Since then, however, we have beat them at our home court six times (but we have a 2-2 record at the Siegel Center). Our overall record is 16-21.

Hope we find a defense tonight, because they're holding opponents to just under 60 points a game and we're currently the worst defensive team in the CAA not named Towson (ruh rooohh). I think getting solid minutes out of a second big might help that (great opportunity for Reddic to snatch a spot in the starting lineup over these next few games).
