Moving on to the 2012 class, VCU is looking at Aaron Bacote, a 6'5 shooting guard from Hampton. He goes to Bethel, which most recently produced UVA point guard Jontel Evans. Allen Iverson is Bethel's most famous alumnus. He plays AAU with Boo Williams.
Bacote is a high IQ player whose calling card is his 3-point stroke. Aaron is long and lanky and still growing into his body although he has put on a good amount of weight this summer. He has a good amount of offensive upside and can play at a high level but still needs to work on his defense. He has moments when he looks like a high-level guard on the other side of the floor. He's still very much a work in progress and while he hasn't been offered he is someone who has considerable potential and could be a player to watch for the 2012 class.
