Needs to stop. I'm not afraid of them and I hope we DO play them to redeem ourselves. I can't think of anyone in our program that doesn't like a challenge and no team is unbeatable. Yeah they're good, but don't you want some redemption? Don't you wanna act like grown-ass-men about it and not hide from them? A successful CAA tourny run pretty much guarantees that we'll play them, so why go into it all anxious and worried? I know it didn't look like it Tuesday, but we DO have all the tools to combat their strengths and after watching us play in Wichita it's clear that the coaching staff has addressed our weaknesses. I can't guarantee a W over them if we see them in the tourny, but I'll bet all my student loans that it will be a darn good game. 8-)

its kind of pointless to think about it anyways, we'll play whoever we get seeded with. Personally id rather play george mason then old dominion though, i think we'd have a better chance to win, especially if we play the way we did against wichita

I still want them to lose to Towson. The Tigers always seem to play better during the CAA tourney than during the season.

Well given their record they can't play worse.

They've been in most games they've played (Delaware needed a buzzer-beater to get by them, we had to fight them off for 38 minutes, they took Northeastern to OT). Just haven't been able to finish.

Losing your leading scorer and leading rebounder from the previous season to off-the-court issues doesn't help.

This will probably one of the most competitive/entertaining CAA tourny's I've ever seen. It's my birthday on the 5th and I might stay and watch all the games after Friday because we seriously have 6 teams (4 of them being VA based 8-) ) in the CAA that are worth watching and have decent chances of going all the way. After all the CAA love we got from the media for the Bracket Buster games it wouldn't be a surprise if a good bit of neutrals show up to simply watch some good ball and go home when its done considering themselves fans of a nearby university that isn't Tech, Georgetown, or UVA. A Bracket Buster weekend that might actually mean something for the CAA, now that's a change

there's a very good chance GMU will be ranked once the next rankings come out. IMO a win over GMU will look a lot better than one over ODU

I agree. If they aren't ranked next week and they win their 2 CAA games this week, which they should, then they will definitely be ranked coming into the CAA Tournament. I think it would be great for the tournament.

TRIVA TIME: When was the last time the CAA tournament featured at top 25 ranked team?

I hope we play them again. Redemtion would be sweet.

Wouldn't it be something, though, if they get upset on Saturday of the tournament... I keep thinking they have to lose sometime.

Agreed. Totally weak-sauce. If we can't beat Mason or ODU in the tournament we don't deserve to go dancing anyway.

I can still see our guys jumping to their feet when we were paired against Duke. I'm confident our guys want some payback, either CAA's or the Show, whatever. GO RAMS!!

I can't think of a better way to carry huge momentum into the NCAA tourney then to take down a ranked GMU for the title.
