Anthony Ireland

Kid can drop some serious points. Great name too.

the assist, rebounds, and steals were impressive also....esspecially when you are scoring darn near 30 ppgs!

yeah he can score, but do we really need another below 6' point guard next year?

I would be stunned if we signed another guard. We need double digit rebounders...we need double digit inside-the-paint points we can count on in the future.

I am excited with the 4 guards Coach Smart has signed before coaching his first game, but, again, we must get a good bigman. If not in the next 8 weeks with incoming visits, perhaps we'd be better off holding a scholarship for a future bigman, even a redshirt kid we develop for future inside play?

Yeah I don't think we have any interest in Anthony at this point. We have a ton of guards on this team and not enough bigs.

Agreed, obviously we are not looking at 5'10" guards at the present time. Those new to the recruiting game need to understand that schools contact many, many prospects each and every year. When the schools prioritize their needs the list of names is greatly reduced.

This is an extremely dynamic process and is literally subject to change at any time.
