They usually don't list them all or if there is no interest they will eventually take them off of the list and replace them with the more relevant ones. Looks like we are going up against our former coach for this one. Thank you for passing along this info though.

6-8 and 185? That's 1 inch shorter than Larry when he arrived but 20 pounds lighter!!! This guy is a string bean!

the site link above has a little more insight to Anthony's size and interest from other schools. He is listed as being 6'10" and obviously possess a lot of talent. Let's see, a 6'10" C from the state of Florida. How has that worked for us over the last couple of years :D

Very exciting to see that he is interested in us and plans to visit.

This kid is a legit 6-9. I saw him play in april at the boo williams tournament. He gets up and down the floor real well and is a left hander. he has very nice moves around the basket and can hold his own against bigger players. Is definitely more developed than larry was coming out of high school. Would be an impact player right away. same team as ben eblen's aau team. We need a big "welcome anthony lee' banner at the siegel center for that weekend !

Re: Anothy Lee -- Visiting VCU Soon!

Sounds like this would be a great get for us (but for the record there is something about the last name that doesn't sit well with me). Go VCU.

When I took my daughter to Tallahassee for school at FSU she said to me, "you shouldn't have showed me around Richmond so much?" I asked her why. She said because it's a lot nicer than Tallahassee. Show the man Richmond!

One can only speculate that Anthony Lee might be a descendent of Robert Edward Lee, who was a fair to middling athlete at West Point (Army) before going on to a noteworthy military career.

If so, VCU has a hard-to-beat recruiting pitch. Located at Monument and Allen, just a Eric Maynor three-pointer from The Stu, is the historic statue of General Lee, atop Traveller (dedicated in 1890).

As visitors continue west, along shady, tree-lined Monument Avenue, more history is taught with towering, bronzed statues of James Ewell Brown (JEB) Stuart, Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson, politician Jefferson Davis, Matthew Fontain Maury (Pathfinder of the Seas) and Arthur Ashe (Wimbledon champ/humanitarian).

Yes, V, the City of Monuments has Tallahassee Lassie beat seven days a week, and twice on Sundays.

I did a little personal "sight seeing" Tuesday, around The Commons/Hibbs (parked near Gold's Gym - sat on that decades-old, granite hard bench that runs in front of old Administration Building on Shafer).

Spotted Gavin (wearing long sweats pants with number 0 near the ankle) and another "Ram?" in similar attire, wearing No. 23. He looked to be about 6-4 and quite well put together - but perhaps a varsity imposter.

...maybe they gave a freshman some of Kearse's gear while theirs is being ordered?
...maybe there was a visit we didn't know about?! Not likely... but possible!

Could be that guy from the DC area who was suppose to try and walk-on. Think his name was Marcus Freeman?

Re: Anothy Lee -- Visiting VCU Soon!

Horn, my daughters and I took numerous photos around VCU and Monroe Park. Also took a couple snappy photos by the Arthur Ashe statute (have to watch the traffic though). The girls particularly enjoyed Maymont and Byrd Parks (they got a real kick out of the cushiony Rebound Ace courts), as I detailed some of the battles involving the VCU tennis team before the move to the Thalhimer Center.

We also had a couple of Ram sightings when we were in town (first week of August). Saw Brandon across from the Bookstore and Skeen by the library.

Re: Anothy Lee -- Visiting VCU Soon!

I don't believe the black 'n gold clad person I saw was Freeman, who was listed at 5-11 last winter for Parkview.

The fellow I saw was a minimum 6-2 and I think more, and much burlier than the photo I saw of Freeman. Also, the hair style is totally different. In addition, the guy I saw strolling through Shafer Court appeared a few years older than a brand-new frosh - kind of looked like Gwynn, both in size and braids.

Freeman, the Magic Marcus, must be some kind of shooter, though ... I saw where he nailed 7 treys in a game last year against Loudoun. Then he tallied 32 points and a bucket load of 3-balls versus Broad Run.
