AP Votes

I was wondering aloud at the game Saturday if/when we might start to see some real consideration for top 25. Of course if we could be in the top 25 going into the conference tourney, ahhhh wouldn't that be a good thing.

That's really is incredible we're getting put at #19 on a dude's list from Ohio. Especially considering our only votes prior to this have been from the Fredericksburg Free-Lance Star and Roanoke Times. I'm really excited to see what the poll will look like tomorrow morning.
 
Not so much of a surprise really. Elton Alexander is pretty familiar with VCU. He writes for the Cleveland Plain-Dealer I believe and covered our bracketbuster games with Akron. 3 times we've played a local team from around his area. He is pretty aware of VCU.

VCU owns Akron, Rob Brandenberg and Shaka have roots in Ohio... there's some familiarity.
 
It's the same formula JD used back in the day - win all the time and they'll put you in. Win the next five games and we'll make a big dent into the Top 25.

Saw that we got some votes last week but I didn't want to post it. You know what happens we we start getting votes. This thread should be deleted and never mentioned again.
 
My dad asked me today if a CAA team had cracked the top 25 in the past decade. I felt like a tard for only being to think of mason after their final four run (I think they slipped in at #25 in one of the polls.) Have their been any others in the conference and has VCU ever made it? I'll embrace the flaming if VCU somehow did crack the top 25 recently and I never caught it.
