Hop On Board! We need to be recruiting as many fans as possible. Is a good time to be a ram.

Exactly, there will be no better time to hop on board and root for the rams, how could a person turn down this team, coach & program?

As Jamie Skeen said in a recent interview. We welcome all bandwagon fans. There's still plenty of room!

I actually have been following you guys since Maynor's sophmore year in 2006-2007. I remember Maynor hitting the shot to beat Duke.

I just orderd my VCU Southwest regional champion T-Shirt and Final 4 shirts tonight!

Congrats guys!

Nice! I remember that shot like it was yesterday! Was such a monumental win for the program and who better to take that shot than Eric Maynor. Got my Final Four gear on the way as well!

Ram Nation has no boarders. I took pics with folks from as far away as Germany while in San Antonio!

We're hitched to the VCU wagon to be sure.

We got hooked watching the rams in chicago, up close and personal, destroying Georgetown and Purdue. I have no personal information or opinion on whether the team's late season swoon "should" have kept them from the tournament in the first place; I just wasn't watching. But there certainly were not 68 better teams once it began.

Just a simple request to bandwagoners (or any fan for that matter), if you go to the final four games and feel the urge to leave early for whatever reason, please resit the urge or at least cover up VCU gear. I was getting physically sick when I saw people in VCU shirts leaving in droves at the coliseum. :?

Been a fan since '06, been reading this forum for two years. and NOW I decide to finally register? I must seem like a total bandwaggoner.

So this brings up a story. When VCU was playing USC a few of us went to Glory Days. Since it was the late game we were really the only VCU fans in the place near the end of the game. Every time we go back their(except KU game which we went to Champps) it got larger and larger and larger. Just funny to think back when we were playing USC and hoping we could just win one to prove the critics wrong and the place being dead.

BTW Champps at Stony Point is highly recommended. That place was crazy when we beat KU.

not at all, tommy boy. the more the merrier. it doesn't matter when someone registers and nobody has to prove their fandom.

the only thing that bugs me is when new posters come on here and immediately start a bunch of new threads when they could easily add their two cents to an existing thread of the same topic.....but then again i'm also somewhat of a grouch, so don't mind me.

In the long run who really cares. You gotta start somewhere! Welcome aboard everyone.

we were all brand new fans at some point, whether it was under Dees, Noe, Kirk, Barnet, Polio, Smith, McCarthy, Capel, Grant, or Smart

of course, there did seem to be a lot more room on the bandwagon back in the Polio years when I jumped aboard ;)

A donner/alumi gave me tickets a few times back when we played at the space ship, Sunbelt sticker on the floor, Sonny was coaching, lucky to see a few hundred students at the games (Wow, how times have changed!) I'll admitt I was a "fair-weather" fan at times but those first few experiances is was got me hooked for the long haul. Now my whole family can't get enough. My son's favorit player of all time....BA Walker! (Wonder what he's doing now?) Makes me wonder how many other fans have gotten hooked out of the generosity of another fan?

Yea that is similar to me. I came to VCU for school in Fall '05 and have been following all the games and representing my school as much as possible since that time. I then found this forum this year at the end of the regular season when I was searching to see if we could make the NCAA tourney even though we lost the CAA championship.

I started reading, and instantly fell in love.... If only I found this sooner! (how did i miss it!??!)
