Did he ever play the 5 at Bryant or SBU?he’s undersized at the 5, but assuming we get mitchell he won’t play that here. another thing he has over lane.
He's not a 5 in any tape I have seen.

that’s my point. he’s not undersized at the 4Did he ever play the 5 at Bryant or SBU?

Supposedly Schmidt ran him as an undersized 5 in a few rotations in his sophomore year and it didn't work out well. He's ideal at the 3 or 4.Did he ever play the 5 at Bryant or SBU?

Evans wasn't one of the two best players at BryantI mean one was the best player on arguably the worst team in the country, the other was one of the two best players on a conference champion and NCAAT team.
I don’t know, I think the odds favor one of those two options, but draw your own conclusions.
Helluva first post. Here's to a long, successful usership 4_you, and 4the_nation!things are looking good 4 the nation
So beat down by Duke, like every other team in the ACC? Bamgboye and Jennings will be fine wherever they play. The line “Acclimated to the ACC” caught me off guard and made me laugh.
More likely it will be acclimated to getting beat down by Duke and one random other team per year, but otherwise I don’t think they’ll have much of problem competing in that second rate football conference.
The big thing you mentioned that hit me was the coaching continuity. Martelli obviously knows him on a day to day basis and thinks his game will translate at the A10 level. I'm not going to lie, I prefer seeing transfers who drop down to us versus moving up, but we've seen it work both ways.he’s undersized at the 5, but assuming we get mitchell he won’t play that here. another thing he has over lane.
Please identify specifically the posters who did this. We all know you have a tendency to embellish.
One person who questioned Jennings' ability to jump to the ACC was me and I haven't said a word about Evans.
And one huge difference between the two, one actually put up numbers at their previous level.
I agree, but did WI.Ram10 specifically question Jennings going to the ACC and express being "cool and confident" about Evans? That's what you accused people on here were doing.WI.Ram10 posted Tom Crean saying, "this guy is going to be in the NBA in a few years for a long time."
Need to be careful with the NBA projections.

I really like the pickup and what I’ve seen of Evans, but he looks more like a facing the basket 3/4 combo. Unless I’m missing something, he’s not a post player.Great pickup...I love the fact this is the 1st VCU coach in.. well...forever...who prioritized getting a skilled, versatile Big!!!
Love it!!!
Evans wasn't one of the two best players at Bryant
1. Timberlake was best and player of the year in conference as well as on the all conference defensive team (previously at Miami and Memphis)
2. Rafael Pinzon was the second best was first team all conference and avg 19 pts a game (prior year at byrant avg 13 /game but did not start) he transferred in from st Johns where he saw 10 minutes a game as a freshman and 16 /game as a sophomore before he transferred
Evans was the third best on Bryant and second team all conference (plus newcomer of the year in conference) avg 13 ppg and nice rebounding too
Evans was the best player with remaining eligibility and I am glad he is now a Ram and love he brings experience and some size and ability to run the court
