RICHMOND, VA -- The defending USL Second Division Champions Richmond Kickers open the 2010 season with a unique Pro-Am Challenge, presented by Chipotle, featuring NCAA Champions University of Virginia Cavaliers this Saturday, April 3rd. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m. at the University of Richmond Stadium and tickets are on sale now at RichmondKickers.com.
“We scheduled this exhibition knowing UVA would be just the type of opponent we needed in preparation for our upcoming season,†comments Leigh Cowlishaw, Richmond Kickers Director of Soccer and Head Coach. “The fact that this game will feature two national champions from the state of Virginia is a unique opportunity for Richmond sports fans. We would love to see the Richmond sports market embrace this game, supporting not only two local champions but several players who grew up playing soccer here right in Richmond
