It will be a long week until then...
If we can start off well, we should be in good shape. Enough of this starting off poorly and playing catchup stuff.

i actually have a feeling we are going to come out really strong against tulane, i feel like our team is talented enough, and hopefully this loss means they can regroup and get their act together (not like we've done that bad, 6-3 with our worst loss by 12 points, imagine if we were actually playing to our ability)

I hope your right. I agree, if we play the way we did during the last 10 minutes of the UR game (or any of the last 5 games), we should be fine.

I look forward to beating Tulane at the Siegel Center next week. Last year when we traveled to Tulane, Mrs. H had a very serious back problem, walking only with the aid of a walker. I don't remember much about the game because she was in such pain at the game. As a result, we spent three days in the hotel room doing nothing. Things are better this year :D and we look forward to a great game. Perhaps that is why I don't get too upset with the loss to UofR. I love VCU basketball, but life is too short to dwell on the negative. :) Coach Smart will work on our problems and our players will get their act together. In the mean time, Mrs. H and I are going to truly enjoy every minute of the Tulane game. GO RAMS! or as John says, Just Win!

We will beat the...

GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!!!

GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!!!

(I was in New Orleans one time and had the pleasure of attending a Tulane football game back when they were the toast of C-USA. Fun times.)

Hopefully all of our fans are in good health however several of our players are not. Win or lose these guys are giving us everything they have. We need to support them when they win and support them even more when they do not so they know that their sacrifices are appreciated.

Amen to this. A week to get healthy and refocus will do all of us a world of good.

Tulane belongs to a select fraternity - the "Over .500 vs. VCU Club."

Frat brothers include Virginia (1-10), Memphis (1-4), Northeastern (5-6), Louisville (5-10), Birmingham (15-21) ... and Tulane (2-11).

That's among schools VCU has met at least five times.

Tulane pounded Mack the Knife 'n' Forks' Rams, 85-44, on Nov. 30, 1999 - the Rams' first-ever loss on the Siegel Center boards.

Something about Bourbon Street doesn't set well with the Black & Golden ... on Jan. 24, 1970, VCU lost at Loyola-New Orleans, 121-99 ... Ty Marioneaux scored 53 that night for Loyola - most ever against a VCU outfit.

That'll be my first home game of the year......yaaaaay for me

surprised Bighorn didn't make mention of the BEAST that WAS Gerald Honeycutt since he's always rambling down memory lane....He and Cliff Rozier were a handful back in the Metro days

Give it time, there is still a week until game day. Maybe he is just keeping you in suspense.

Very good point. I think we will see the Rams that we saw 6 games ago.

I am glad that Mrs. H is feeling so much better!!

It's funny how life can change your perspective of a basketball game. I'm glad that some of of our fans get this. Though I fret to say, maybe we only get that with age. ;)

My wish-The Rams come out mad and beat the crap out of the Wave

My realistic view- They come out slow allowing the Wave to stay in the game. The score gets up into the 70s or 80s and the rams pull the game out at the end by like 8-10pts.
